Welcome to the newly implemented website specifically designed for the members of the Michigan Historical Center's Docent Guild.

 

The purpose of the site is to provide you with a schedule of all docent activities, museum events, Tidbits about various items found in the museum, and (with your help) stories about your experiences (what we'll call Fun Stuff) at the museum.

 

That brings us to the single MOST IMPORTANT point to be made. We need YOUR help! We're looking for stories you're willing to share. Stories about funny things that have happened. Stories that you tell groups to get your point across. Stories about the trips you've taken with other docents. Stories about your fellow docents...those still around or sadly, those no longer with us.

 

The other thing we're looking for is PICTURES. Whenever we tell a story, where possible, we`d like to include pictures (remember each one is worth a thousand words).

 

So there you have it. DocentGuild.org is a repository of yesterday, today and tomorrow. A place where we can all go today to relive (hopefully) adventures of our past, share our experiences and for future docents to understand how the Guild came to be and the people who were (and are) responsible.
