This photograph is of the brake shoe of the hand car located on the Second Floor. It is interesting to note that this brake shoe is exactly that, an old leather shoe converted for use as a brake shoe. The lace openings of the shoe are clearly visible.
The picture shows the location of the hand-car that contains the brake.
